TY for the update, Dennis. I have a USB-C to HDMI adapter that might be fun to test with your Pinebook Pro sometime.
WRT interface types, I started drifting toward HDMI when I became enamored of the Raspberry Pi and Beaglebone Black. They are pretty HDMI-centric, and most everything else seems to support it, too, so it seemed like a good bet.
Here's an article that does a more meaningful comparison between the physical display interfaces: https://www.monitornerds.com/displayport-vs-hdmi-vs-usb-c-vs-dvi-vs-vga-which-is-better-for-gaming/

I meant David Willson. I think most monitors still have VGA, but DVI, HDMI or Display Port are also on most monitors now. Some have all four. I would use HDMI or DisplayPort if they are available.

Interesting. I probably wanted to know about connecting to a normal monitor.
Is HDMI the normal standard for computer monitors now?
Thanks for info.

David, you wondered if the PBO could connect to an HDMI monitor. The USB-C port can do it using an adapter. Not all will work; alternate mode DisplayPort is needed.
I bought an adapter at Best Buy that works. It's a J5 Connect JCA153G.
