Hugh, I had no idea Autosys started out as a Boulder company. As of two years ago there was a company in Boulder making a product to monitor Autosys.

On Fri, Oct 14, 2011 at 1:52 PM, Christopher J Pomasl <pomasl@wildblue.net> wrote:
Thanks for the talk. It was more interesting than I was
anticipating. Very good.

I was going to regale you on the history of Autosys but you were
busy talking afterwards.

I currently work for CA in the mainframe division (so JCL is near
and dear to my heart (or something)). I worked for Platinum
technology before then and we purchased the Autosys company
somewhere in the early to mid 90's. They were based in Boulder, CO
somewhere near about 8th and Pearl. They may still be there or in
Boulder somewhere. CA acquired Autosys through the purchase of
Platinum Technology in 1999.
The Open Source Job Scheduler looks interesting and worth a look.

Thanks again.
