Just about every tech company I've worked for in the past 10 years
has had it's core IT staff using MacBook and MacBook Pros as the
primary personal workstation. I would say this is further
re-enforced by the "logo poll" taken at nearly every conference I've
been to show that Apple computers are by far the "crowd favourite".
As for Linux, my current employer has over 3.000 Linux servers of
which I'm responsible for a small fraction of them. Not everyone who
uses Linux does so in a desktop environment, or believes that it is
the best/right solution for the desktop. Granted I know there are a
number of folks here do use it on the desktop, and that's fine; it
just doesn't work for me.<br>
