Unison with a hub and spokes should do the trick nicely. Unison is fast bidirectional delta sync, and the hub keeps things simple. Sync before you use the apps you are syncing, and again once you're all done.<br clear="all">

Remember the issues we have at RMSEL with simply having two different versions of CentOS?<div><br></div><div>Syncing key parts of your home directory should be fine as long as you keep the software the same version. I sync my Chrome, Firefox, Documents, basKet, Chromium, Pidgin, and Remmina across all my computers.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Issues I have:</div><div><ol><li>Chrome likes to muck with my extensions when I switch between Windows and Linux.</li><li>Firefox needs opened, closed, and reopened when I switch between Windows and Linux. Works fine after that.</li>

huh... So... Y'know, that gives me some pretty good ideas! Like rsync'ing or unison'ing my network home-folder with my laptop.<br>

Has anyone run into real issues sharing a home between distros? I have a couple versions of Ubuntu and a few versions of Enterprise Linux to talk to. What about Windows? Last I tried that, it was kind've a nightmare, but I seem to have blocked the specifics of the nightmare.<br>
