<span style="font-family:calibri">Summary: The IT Services division requires the re-build of our nagios monitoring server. We currently have a nagios server which is out dated and missing many pertinent server health checks. This server needs to be rebuilt and have all the necessary health checks and alerting added to provide visibility into the availability of our server and their applications.</span><br>

<span style="font-family:calibri">Essential Functions:</span></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:calibri">Setup new nagios application installation.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:calibri">Install industry standard basic server checks for all our servers.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:calibri">Setup industry standard checks for web/application/database.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:calibri">Setup custom checks to alert if web/application servers are running, but not functioning properly. (layer 7 checks)</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:calibri">Configure all aspects of alert mechanism, including: date, time, warning, critical, groups, service and the standard nagios fields.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:calibri">Design for multi-datacenter passive checks to master nagios server</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:calibri">Documentation of work complete and operation procedures.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:calibri">Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the managers discretion.<span style="font-size:12px"> </span></span></span></li>
