<p dir="ltr">It was good and bad. I brought a wireless router because I couldn't use their wired network but the router didn't work. I'll see if I can fix it later. Griz provided a switch and we used that and gave the laptop and OpenMediaVault static addresses so I could show OMV.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I think I'll expand the talk and talk about HAN (home area network). I suspect most people don't know how to configure a router to always assign an address to a mac address or provide DNS capability in a home network. I access OMV via the name "omv". There are home servers like OMV and Amahi. And there is XBMC and Plex. Music servers. Etc.</p>
