<p><br>VERIFYING DOWNLOADS:<br>What's all this SHA256 stuff? Why is it important and how do I verify what I've downloaded?<br><br><br>Sure I can find many articles online that cover these topics, but I never have someone to turn to when the (sometimes outdated) step by step instructions I find online don't work. Having someone to look over your shoulder while doing this at a meeting would be much better.<br><br>Turning noobs into power users can build comradery and make new connections and just as importantly, give us a good reason to get out of the house. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to work.</p>
<p>I like checking in on the CLUE posting from time to time and would like to help but I have recently moved out of state so I'm not able to help. I'm in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area and I have looked for linux groups up here but cant find anything other than specialized groups on Meetup. Who know's maybe I start a Linux noobs meetup up here!</p>

<div>Very few people were coming near the end and it wasn't easy finding speakers. When McAffee closed their office here, we didn't look for a new home. Maybe if we held an occasional meeting when someone wanted to give a talk, but the irregularity might mean that people wouldn't remember when to meet. It might also be hard to find a place that would let us do this.
