All,

Tonights CLUE club meeting will consist of a combination of the previously
scheduled KISS presentation (somewhat expanded) by Jim Ockers over the X
windows system, VMWare demo, and the Techangle crew bearing CD's and
discussing various topics.
Graphics and Linux (6:30 pm)
Jim Ockers will discuss the X Window System and XFree86. A whirlwind tour of
general graphics and X11 concepts as well as some practical hints on getting
XFree86 to work properly.

In addition to the extend KISS session, the The Techangle crew will be
totting CD's containing miscelaneous open source projects:
Helix Gnome/Gnome 1.2 - KDE 2.0 - Kernel 2.4 - XFree4.0

and discussing some of the recent developments in the GNU/Linux Open Source
world:
Some ideas are:
Why ReiserFS won't be in the next kernel.
"difference in the distributions".
Kernel compiles, basic admin, PERL, network setup, UI tweaks
 (gnome/kde),
 filesystem layout.

Kind of a REALLY extended KISS with mostly q&a.

It should be alot of fun and interesting.

Thanx to everyone for helping to bring this back together.

Ed
