Jed,

Sorry - I forgot what we had done about Fun-da-mentals (I'm cc'ing clue-admin
so we have a record).

1. You are correct - David hosts the page.

2. Originally, we hosted a page and later David asked us to remove it because
he maintains it. We removed it from CVS, but not the htdocs area. See below
for why.

3. Roger must have bookmarked the old page.

4. Besides the outdated fun-da-mentals.html page, the only link I can find to
fun-da-mentals is on the study group page
(http://clue.denver.co.us/studygroup.html) -- this link is correct.

5. I removed the http://clue.denver.co.us/fun-da-mentals.html page and sent
Roger a note telling him to refer to the link on the studygroup page.

6. We do not need this page in CVS - so please remove it again if you added
it. :)

7. I added a redirect to httpd.conf for the old page (/fun-da-mentals.html)
to David's server so old book marks get to the correct page. Since you told
me about the permission problem, it sounds like I didn't give you the root pw
on the box, so I took care of the redirect. I can give you root pw on Tues.

So, I'm sorry that I misled you on this Jed - I was still thinking that we had
a fun-da-mentals page hosted on our server.

LMK if you have other questions and thanks for researching the problem.
Jeff

Why page was still published --

Tthe reason it was left over is that when the site gets published, we copy the
cvs tree into the htdocs area. This process does not do deletes (which is
stupid in retrospect, but three years ago, I was clueless about CVS).

The 'better way' is to simply pull cvs updates into the 'htdocs' area and use
the cvs update flag which will remove old files -- maybe we can update this
procedure when the new server is available.
