I've looked into why this is happening and in short there's a bug in
SpamAssassin 3.1 which can lead to resource usage. I already implemented the
suggested workarounds, such as reducing the number of spamd processess and an
couple of other things.
Not being an SysAdmin, I didn't think about telling the kernel to give less
time to spamd via nice. If someone can give me a quick tip on how to do
this, I'm happy to.
