I get root's mail on a server like ours.  All the built-in accounts go 
to root, which comes to me.  Other than logwatch messages I get less 
than one spam a month, of the delivery failure variety.

If you remind me next week maybe I'll have root's mail forwarded to me 
and see what it looks like.
