[clue-cert] Re: Linux Certification Study Group (LPIC-1)]

Thanks Ward, your post piqued my interest in the study group. I'll be 
interested to see what wonk-ass is, too, but I can think of a couple of 
criteria, having shoehorned Ubuntu into my tiny Eee PC 2G (512M/2G 
disk). Avoiding the need to search for special fixes and techniques that 
won't be on the exam is the first. Having enough space to freely muck 
with partitioning (and be able to boot differently configured 
partitions), get useful things running in memory without noticeable 
degradation/swapping, and maybe also fairly standard hardware, 
especially boot rom, storage, display, network, audio. Just picture 
yourself learning tennis in your bathroom, then in a field house with 8 
pro courts and air conditioning. Wonk-ass sounds to me like the latter. :-)
