OK, Kevin and other VmWare users, I have a question:

I do a lot of writing, and have come to prefer to use WordPerfect for
it over any other wordprocessor. One of the reasons that I still prefer
to work in Windows (at least for writing) is that its True Type font
screen display is so much clearer than the Type 1 fonts that are in
WordPerfect 8.0/WPO2000  under XWindows.

I've looked at KOffice running TrueTypeFonts, which gives an excellent
display, but I still like WP over KWord as a wordprocessor. I've tried
WP02000 and am not impressed by it. Each newer version of WordPerfect
that comes out seems to require a lot of kludgy solutions to get it to
run under Linux, and, as Corel has not yet figured out how to provide
simple instructions on how to get it to run under the various
distributions of Linux, it requires a lot of time at Corel's site to
find the information and then to fiddle with finding older libraries
and special font programs, etc., etc., ad nauseum, to get it up and
running.

If VmWare worked, then I could install it and use a proven version of
WordPerfect with a decent screen display without having to waste the
several hours I currently do when trying to install Corel's Linux
products.

Thus your shameless plug for VMWare has me interested in buying it as a
possible solution. Do you think that I could use this as follows:

	1. Install VMWare;
	2. Install Windows 98;
	3. Install WordPerfect

and then use this for my writing to take advantage of Windows's better
screen display?

For that matter, could any of you bring a laptop running VMWare to the
next CLUE or BLUG meeting to show it to us?

Thanx.

John Kottal
