Although mostly pure crap, the FAQ does make one valid point.  If you
license code from third parties, and combine that with GPL code,
distributing the end result is a nasty bag of worms, unless you can get
the third party to release their code under the GPL as well, which is
unlikely considering they are making money licensing it.

If you are making commercial or GPL applications for distribution, be very
careful of these issues.  Only mix GPL with GPL, or GPL woth your
code.  Do not mix rented code with GPL, unless you dynamically link to
those modules.
