Thanks, David.  My first shot at using a CSS is at www.a2w.net/karel/index.html
and the sheets that follow.  I've learned that different browsers have quite
different ideas how to interpret some of the things I tried.  Opera does a
great job, but surprisingly IE chokes on some things.  Anyway I have
settled on what works apparently across browsers and have had to move on for
now.  Too much to do to get ready for the next classes...but when I get back
to this your examples will be right there waiting for me.  Thanks again.
