[CLUE-Talk] CLUE Newsletter Editor

El Presidente de CLUE president at clue.denver.co.us

Greetings.

The history of the CLUE Newsletter is short: Although we have had a number of
CLUE newsletter editors, I can count the number of newsletters in the past 4
years on one hand. However, we are looking for an excited CLUEbie to change
the history and publish monthly newsletters.

This job should take about 2-6 hours per month. The most recent newsletter
was published at
 + http://clue.denver.co.us/pipermail/clue-newsletter/2002/000000.html

Ideally, the newsletter communicates news about CLUE. This includes
information about both meetings (DTC & Regis), Fun-da-mental session,
certification sessions, installfests, etc. In addition, summaries of
important Linux news could be an interesting addition. Finally, we would
like to continue to acknowledge our sponsors at the end of the newsletter.

Most importantly, we need someone committed to the production and publication
of our newsletter on a monthly basis.

The other requirement of this volunteer position is to attend quarterly admin
meetings. Typically, these last about 2 hours, over a meal. The meetings
are open to any CLUEbies, so you can monitor the CLUE-Admin list if you are
interested in attending the next admin meeting.

So, I throw down the gauntlet to our loyal CLUEbie readers: Ask not what your
LUG can do for you, but whether we can actually have two consecutive months
of newsletters! Luckly for everyone, the only requirement is ambition!

If you are interested in becoming the next Newsletter editor, please contact
me (Jeff Cann). If you are reading this message from the web site archives,
you won't see my return email address, but you can use our spam prevention
form on the web site:

Godspeed,
Jeffery Cann
CLUE President
