Through out history, ppl have more to fear from their own, then from outside.
How many countries do you hear invading each other? Not many.
But what you do hear is of constant civil wars as well as ilitary junta.
Historically, most nations are corrupted from inside any it tends to be the
military. That is why Ike (and many generals) warned us of the
military/industrial complex. And I do trust the "left" to protect us as much
as the "right" does. Think the upcoming Raygun, Osprey, and Bradley.

As to owning >1/2 of world's oil supply, you may wish to quiet trusting news
(personally, I suggest that you quit trusting W and O as well)
The whole middle east owns about 1/2 the oil supplies. Saudia arabia owns 1/2
of that.
Combining Iraq, Iran, and Kuwait would be less than 1/3 :

Actually, you just have to watch a real news station like CNN rather than Fox
or reading national Inquiror :) (just kidding kev)

According to a CNN's interview of iraqi ppl some time ago), they just want it
to end. Sound resonable to me.
