I'm not entirely convinced this is a bad thing.  If the GPL model works
the way it's suppose to, it shouldn't matter how evil the players are,
they are still forced to abide by the rules.  Of course, there will
have to be a great deal of scrutiny by the community to make sure AOLTW
follows the rules.  Having a powerhouse like that supporting Linux
would definatly help us make inroads on the home user desktop arena. 
The biggest issue would be watching standards, and making sure they
remain open/non-proprietary.  As was mentioned in an earlier thread,
the greatest way to sustain a monopoly is to produce everything in a
proprietary "standard" that no one else can use.
