I agree. The more stuff like this they do, the better. The free market will
punish them soundly for this if they keep it up.

It also gives me more ammo - I remember telling a rabidly pro-MS (and
anti-OSS, anti-Java, anti-Oracle, anti-Sun, anti-anything that competed with
MS) boss of mine a few months ago how I thought MS's recent actions showed
the thrashings of a company in its death throes. It might not show on the
balance sheets, or on Wall Street - but they have showed many signs of
desperation to anyone paying attention[1]...paying attention to anything
other than trade rags that are engaged in a love affair with MS, that is.

Unfortunately, he isn't the sort of person with good listening skills. He
orchestrated my downsizing, and proceeded to use more MS stuff. I can't wait
until it comes down to people getting fired FOR buying MS.

[1] Anyone know where a list of these is compiled? As well as famous MS
problems like the Navy ship having to be towed back to shore, security
holes, etc.?

We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our
fellow men; and among those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as
courses, and they come back to us as effects.
