	I am about to get several patents and have been chest deep in this stuff (so
I spend far too much time on it and not enough on coding; spying on americans
and all :) ).

	I got to thinking about these patents and that IBM is fighting back. Yes, I
know that they are normally defensive, but IBM could easily take it a step
forward and take control of SCO/Unix with these, if the patents are any good.
The problem is that most patents at large companies are pretty much
worthless. They are simple patents mills (think MS code vs Unix code; which
would you rather have?). But for IBM to throw these few around, they may
actually be worth something. Then IBM would have control over Unix.

	IBM has expressed a desire to replace Unix with Linux. I wonder if they are
considering taking it a step forward.
