I couldn't agree more.   DeGette is one of the most responsive elected officials I know of.

On many occasions I have written her an email to urge her to vote for or against a bill.    She always writes a letter back, and it never looks like a form letter.

One of the things that has most impressed me is her total opposition to the patriot act, especially the provisions relating to privacy at your library.   (See Freedom to Read Protection Act, HR 1157. http://www.bordc.org/freedomtoread.htm)

We don't always agree on legislation, but I really appreciate the personal response I get when I let her know how I feel about a technical issue.
