OK - I guess we are both making assumptions... sorry about this on my part.  I 
agree on science and technology.  I guess my point is that I think in general 
(and in my own education) many basics were not taught well, particularly 
logic.

OK, but part of the problem now with education is that everyone is brought 
down to the lowest common denominator.  I agree that we should consider 
differences in ability, but sometimes kids will flourish if given the right 
motivation.
