Has anyone tried out the new version of Mandrake?

I recently obtained the download version (only has the first 3 CDs) and
installed it on a laptop.  This is the first time I've used Mandrake
(I've used RedHat/Fedora for the last few years) and I came across some
issues that I'm trying to determine if they're bugs or 'features'...

For instance, logged in as a normal user, trying to add a new printer
via one of their many printer guis, I get prompted for a
username/passwd.  Entering 'root' doesn't work.  However, if I initiate
the same gui interface from the command line as root, I can add the
printer.

There were other things as well.  In any case, if anyone is familiar
with Mandrake (and specifically Mandrake 10.0), I'd be interested in
talking with them.
