I don't know if it's "wrong" but the fear I have is that when I save
something using OpenOffice to Word format is that it won't be readable
because I HAVE noticed differences in the presentation.  You can't always
be sure how it will look unless you use Word.  Too bad for me since I
won't shell out the money for MS Office (when OOo is free).  Last time I
gave someone my resume I put it in PDF format.  The only disadvantage to
that was it implied (to them) that I was afraid someone might modify my
resume, and I was being quite rigid/paranoid about it.  Go figure.

Anyway, I definitely see the reason to put things in Word format, but
maybe you can also use RTF since on most Windows machines RTF is picked up
by Word if you have it.
