I don't know, but I'd like to get in on the answer as I am looking to replace some old computer
hardware. Specifically, I need to replace a damaged Intel Pentium III 600 MHz CPU (an overheating
problem seems to have caused core damage). I've stopped at a couple places already, but the
answer has been, "We don't accept old computer trade-ins, so we don't have any." It is important
that I replace this CPU as I'm running the damaged unit now on a production machine. The CPU
literally makes static/arcing noise while processing and cannot access RAM beyond the first slot
on the motherboard without causing a kernel panic and immediate halt.

Any leads on new or used PIII CPUs? The motherboard, an Intel SE440BX-2, cannot run a CPU over
600 MHz (I tried with a brand new 800MHz only to find that the model of motherboard I have is
capped at 600MHz).

Thanks!
