Consider the source of the article macworld, yes they see some 
installation "growth and the expense of Unix"  Well,  Mac  10.x  is 
more  mature and  Windows like with Aqua. Unix strickly has no  
alternative in the business world unless you move to Linux or Mac  or 
what Sun offering this week?
Solaris 10 or Linux... Yes, BSD does not count...
