I have used refill systems, but they are a lot of trouble and can only be refilled once or twice before you ruin the cartridge trying to fill it. 

I am now using a local vendor in Boulder who guarantees his refurbished cartridges to the point that if it does any damage to your printer he will come out and fix your printer as well as clean up any mess.

His customer service is top-notch. The only cartridge I have not been able to buy from him refurbished is for my new HP-all-in-one printer/scanner/fax/copier because it's too new and refurbed cartridges aren't available yet.
