and illegal immigration in my children's schools. I looked at some local
stats on the fairus.org website. It says, "[a]ccording to Denver's estimate
of the costs of educating a child annually ($6,206), Colorado spends at
least $50 million a year educating immigrant children from Mexico alone."
This does not take into consideration the legal and illegal immigrants from
eastern Europe and Asia, to mention only a few.

If you have children in DPS, you really see that the additional services to
illegal immigrant children cost our public schools. Some of the public
schools provide hepatitis vaccines, free and reduced lunches, dental and
health services to any child in need. The students who don't speak english,
legal and illegal, require additional resources from a system that is
already stretched to the limit.

I don't know the answer to this situation, but I do feel that if we have
rules, we should enforce them. If we aren't going to enforce those rules,
then we must change them and make provision for paying the costs (additional
services for healthcare, education, affordable housing, etc.).
