Personally, my preference is Romney, but once again, if I like him
he's probably not your candidate. I could also tolerate Fred Thompson

As regards the list of preferences/sins above, it depends on what the
meaning of is is. I'm pro-immigrant (the legal variety) pro-healthcare
for the indigent without imposing the Canadian/UK/European socialist
style of single payer garbage. Reasonable taxation is low taxes. It's
time to cut back on the pork-filled programs that require higher
taxes. In any case what the liberals seem to want is more tax revenues
for ever expanding programs, and low taxes benefit the economy and
actually increase tax revenues.

I'm not in favor of Christians, Atheists, and Gays (that's far from an
inclusive list) as activist blocks, although I have no problem with
any of these as individuals. .

We had a lengthy thread earlier on the topic of abortion. I'm not in
favor of it, but I'm not a woman, and I see no valid reason for my
government to be involved in what should be her individual choice.
Although most of my beliefs mesh well with the Republican party, the
Right-to-Life plank is the one party plank that prevents me from
signing up.

I don't really understand why Jed considers Romney to be a RINO,
however Huck definitely is.

Having said all of the above, I will vote for the Republican
candidate, even if I have to hold my nose on some topics. I will never
in this lifetime vote for the Socialist party candidate.
