A "TABOR" style law for the Federal budget where the people actually  
get "veto power" over what is being spent, sure would be nice.

I can't say I would have voted to pay for Iraq (if they had no way to  
pay for it, would it have happened?), to give China money, or  
eventually start paying for socialized medicine.  My "representatives"  
certainly did, and they apparently don't care if I like it or not.

What a great job... sit around all day, and get paid big bucks by  
special interest groups to spend other people's money.  Are we ever,  
en masse, as a country, going to wake up to how stupid this is?
