As I answered Jed, I have a lot of books on my to-read list, and, no offense
to folks that may have found it enlightening, but this one hardly looks
compelling. That, and the author is one of those guys on Wingnut Welfare
(writes for National Review Online), so it doesn't make the case any better
for him.

I've tried to read one of his pieces before with an open mind, but it was
such a gigantic turd that it was hard to do so without laughing.

Not that I was enamored of Obama's idea, either, but...oh, here, read it.
It got mentioned here, and that's where I found it, so I'll link to this
one:

If I ever get around to it, I know the library has it. It's hardly something
high on my priority list, though.

I'm not promoting Chomsky, and if you've actually read him, you'll notice he
doesn't propose cure-all panaceas, either. I'm certainly not. The world has
a habit of not conforming to ideologies, economic or otherwise.

I mentioned him strictly to note that, again, he's pointing out that there
is little difference in the parties - especially when it comes to foreign
policy. My mention had nothing to do with "socialism" or promoting Chomsky.

Hark ye, Clinker, you are a most notorious offender. You stand
convicted of sickness, hunger, wretchedness, and want.
