Yeah, understand.  Of course BCC works well for that type of 
"distribution" too, but... some people are just ultra-paranoid and think 
that spam isn't just going to happen in the current environment.  It is. 
  We have to change how we use e-mail and how we deliver it to keep up 
with the times, and I don't see any global movement toward doing that... 
so it probably won't get any better any time soon.

Interestingly, raising the price of things seems to give them more 
value.  As one example, while SMS spam happens, the fact that SMS costs 
most people real money per message -- spammers seem to avoid it since it 
would be socially unacceptable to almost everyone receiving an SMS spam 
to do business with them.  Maybe if e-mail were more expensive?  :-)

At least I don't get any spam for "male sexual enhancement pills" 
(trying to be politically correct here) in paper mail... haha.
