[clue-talk] best/worst/most interesting distro?

By amount of use, my systems:
Mac OS X (laptop)
Gentoo (desktop)
OpenSolaris (ZFS file server)
Gentoo (VM)
Gentoo (family web server)
Win98 (non-wine-able games)
Ubuntu (VM, but this is what I set family members up with)

Puppy is where I reach first for a LiveCD, or when the system is constrained in resources.

In addition I have VMs, for class:
Fedora 10 - was an excellent example of a broken distro and not to waste time on.
Debian 5 - Installed less than 3 hours, and I'm not expecting high marks for it, some kernel error on the desktop, doesn't let me resize X to fit within the monitor as a VM; and doesn't like the network card on the physical install. Two of those I can probably fix tomorrow when I next work on it, but it shouldn't be necessary.

And someday I will succeed with LFS. IIRC, my last attempt staled at a point where I need to edit a file, but we don't have an editor within chroot yet.

The non-Linuxes are in the list for comparison, it wouldn't be fair to call Gentoo my primary system.
