Binary search.  Remove half the icons.  See if the problem goes away.  You
now know which half of the icons is causing the problem.  Remove half of the
half that is causing the problem.  See if the problem goes away.  You now
know which fourth of the icons is causing the problem.  Remove half of the
fourth, and check behavior.  You can now identify the eighth ... etc...

That is the fastest method I am aware of for isolating a bad file.
