interesting in pertaining to this thread:

You may have already checked this but, try hitting
http://www.dslreports.com. They have tools on there to get DSL
availability for various areas. They also have reviews of services,
equipment, and other broadband related items. The also have Linux
compatibility for each of the services.

What ISP provider provides good support for Linux in the Denver Area
near the University of Denver?  The are is only important in that AT&T
broadband is not available yet in that particular region.
