Yes, you may choose.  The ads and Qwest pages do tend to throw MSN out
front, though they've toned this down from the first couple of weeks when
the 'other' options took a back seat.

A pitfall of using MS is that the internal DSL card is heard to be 'very'
proprietary, only connects to MSN and no other ISP should you wish to
switch.  Another anecdote suggests that it also blocks secondary POP3
servers, meaning MSN is your .NET solution.  I'd guess that means you'd be
obliged to sign up for passport too with your major cc.  I'm hoping to
confirm this by this weekend.  You can do better on price with some local
ISPs via Qwest than the MSN 12-month contract package.  Just pay 12 months
to some of the ISPs up front and get a discount plus full access accounts
(telnet, ssh, cgi, ftp, roaming access).
