Ouch ...

I run a P-II/200 w/ 256MB RAM, and it is very snappy, even with several
windows open on each of 4 virtual desktops.  KDE runs fine, but i like
blackbox much better.  Once you tweak the menus a bit, you can have a
very productive environment.
