well, every program has to be configured somehow.  I am not familiar with the
particular program you are using, but I would look for a configuration file (in
/etc or /etc/ppp??) and you should be able to accomodate your dialup in the
configuration file.

otherwise, I know for a fact that wvdial can be told to look for another prompt,
and that prompt can be defined.  wvdial does a lot of guessing for you, and I
think it will actually do it for you (you have to give the dialup phone number,
login name and password at a minimum -- /etc/wvdial.conf)
