[CLUE-Tech] gateway: networking question

I'm told that my gateway is invalid and that, because I've got only my Linux server and one other computer connected to a hub and haven't a router, that I can set my server to be the gateway.  Is this true?  If so, how do I set my server as my gateway?

I see I have an already-existing file:
