Oh come on.. Now this is just getting foolish.  This is the same thing
that MS does officially.. FUD.  Most of the time they want to have
a minimal level of competition.  The official new API as of last year
is to use the mailto: protocol configuration.  that's about as well
documented as you can get.  You put some stuff in the registry and then
away you go.. You immediately have your app being mailto: friendly.

As much as we give MS crap about doing things to make it more difficult
to compete (which is usually true) they do publish their APIs and then
simply implement first.  Other companies tend to sit on their asses 
when it comes to implementing new standards.. 

That's where they get beat usually.  

MAPI wasn't done right the first time.  It required you to replace the
MAPI.dll file to get your program to work MAPI.  That was sad, pathetic
and poor design at best.
