[CLUE-Tech] VNC

Ok, I just got around to playing with VNC. This thing ROCKS!!! I ssh'd
into my home machine, started it up, and then kicked off the
viewer. Unlike an X Server, this thing made it through the NAT firewall
just fine. Now I can do all of those neato things I used to be able to
only from home or on the command line GUI from remote. If I ever have to
run a remote machine that does not have command line capability, I will
use VNC. It is SO much cooler than walking down the hall.

Dump Red Hat :^)

I think you will have to reconfigure your network stuff. When I upgraded
from SuSE 6.4 --> 7.0 I had to do this. I just had to recompile my
kernal and run Yast and I was back up. Heck Yast configured my stuff for
me. DSL was up and running in nothing flat. Gotta love Linux!
Try:
1) If you have to recompile your kerenal with a module for your network
card this would be the pace to start. Most upgrades replace the kernal
with a new one.
2) If you have the module loading in modules.conf check that too, it may
have also been replaced.

Thanks for the advice. I tried that approach a few days ago, and while it
helped solve a few of my smaller problems, but did nothing to fix the big
ones (namely, the horribly broken Icewm-gnome and Sawmill-gnome window
managers). Any suggestions on that score? Anyone?
