If you are on an @home network, I can send you a copy of my 'ipchains' script
(the Linux firewall for 2.2 kernels). It would work for other ISPs, but you
would have to change some of the network information.
Also, you can check around and find web sites that will produce a firewall
script for Linux, using a CGI. You make selections in the form and the CGI
spits out a firewall configuration script. You download the script and run
it when after you boot up (and after you are connected to the internet).
If you are on a dial-up connection (intermittent), you probably do not need a
firewall.
