Just stay away from the DeskJet 600 series.  They are "Winprinters"  The
printer has no logic, no fonts, and no printhead control in it for most
things.  The CPU controls the printer directly.  There is a driver for it,
but currently no color (I have a DeskJet 694C on my Wintel box because the
Linux driver stinks and HP won't release the specs so someone can make a
better one)
