I do have to say that people have the right to do what they want with the
resources that they are given. This is america and it is a relatively
free nation on the Earth.

This does not mean that I agree with it.

I do take offense when idiot SUV owner goes and starts to complaining
the might argument of "I have the right to cheap gas" when gas goes
above $2/gallon. Actually you don't. You have the right to buy the
car that you did and pay the price of gas. You do not have the right
to set that price. This is america. Capitalist is key.

I do take offense when that same SUV owner complains that his kid has
severe asthma do to the poor air quality. Considering his vehicle
generates about 3 times the emissions that my car does.

If I had a choice in my life I would buy and own an electric or fuel
cell car. However I can't afford that right now fiscially.

If you don't like how people are using electricty or gas then tell your
representative or senator to tighten up the laws around the usage of
those things.

I do not want to live in a socialist country. Some things are better
and some things are worse. However if you want to tell people what
they should or shouldn't do and enforce it go to one of those countries.
That's where America has been great. They let you shoot yourself in
the foot and if enough Americans think that you shouldn't be allowed
to shoot yourself in the foot anymore. Then a law is enacted and
enforced to keep you from doing that.
