[CLUE-Tech] CD Burner for Linux, which one will Santa bring?

TDK or Plextor, but my friend recently bought one of the Hi-Val ones at 
CompUSA for $30.00 after rebate and says it's just fine with Linux.  The 
one I've heard about that doesn't work is Sony.
