Not necessarily. If they've stayed with the Sybase architecture, all this
is stored in the database itself, in dictionary tables. Ferexample, in
Sybase, you could type "@sp_help_text" or some such, and get a listing of
the stored procedures.

Active directory is an LDAP application. I'd look at
http://www.openldap.org/ for more info. The PAM LDAP should work with it,
as long as it's a conformant LDAP server.
