That's OK.  I use DOS.  When I'm prepping a drive, I boot off a DOS
floppy and then run Ranish Partition Manager
(http://www.ranish.com/part/). It's a straitforward utility that'll
show you all your partitions, or allow you to create/delete partitions,
and supports many different partition types.
