As for your question, I believe GNUS (under emacs) will this.  I used to
be a gnus user big time.  But people kept sending me html mail, or other
assorted attachments and I was not really pleased with the rendering.

I wonder if you could use procmail to redirect the message to filter to
handle the splitting up of the message.  As for the filter, perl, ruby,
etc, should be able handle the splitting rather handily.

I switched the Evolution mostly for the display handling.  It is a nice
package and evolving nicely (forgive the pun).  As a matter of fact, I
just got the spell checker stuff installed (as a Bonobo Component).

The real reason, I wrote was to laugh at how close you are located to my
work.  I work with GPS technologies all the time and noticed your sig. 
I have seen the coordinates around this area so much, that I could tell
on sight that this was very close.  (BTW, our office is at Prince and
Sante Fe).

I like the Satan line, too!
