Don't know.  I have a spare no-name PCI "tulip" card left over from an
ATT cable install.  The card works fine with linux (RH 7.3 autodetects
it).  You could have it for the price of a cup of coffee, if you want
to go that route.

1. delete all partitions with a linux floppy recovery system or a
CDROM (most distro's install CDs work fine), redefine the partitions
the way you want them, and DD the start of all partitions to nulls.

2. Use a dos or win98 floppy to run "fdisk /mbr" to wipe out the mbr.

I can't begin to count how may first times I have under my belt at
this point with a little help from my friends.  I'll even be gentile,
since I'm not jewish. <grin>
