I was working on a server today and mucking with iptables.  Naturally 
the network is the only (easy) way to get to the box.  So I knew that as 
soon as I ran an iptables command I'd lock myself out of it.

Then I had an idea.  Write a cron job to undo my iptables commands every 
5 minutes.  That way being locked out wouldn't be as painful.

With that in place, I didn't make any iptables mistakes that required 
it.  Naturally.
